As Crossroads continues to grow as a multi-service organization dedicated to helping individuals with autism, we will need to increase our marketing efforts to reach new clients. We welcome Marketing and Communications Professionals to help us expand and enhance our marketing efforts so we can help more people.

Join one of our Event Committees and help us plan our Annual 5K and Family Fun Day or our Golf Tournament. Committees meet via Zoom every 2-4 weeks, depending on where we are in planning.

Volunteer at our Day School

Students at Crossroads School participate in APE at least three times a week. During APE they practice sports skills or work on independent fitness routines. Volunteers can be valuable peer models to students as they learn new sports skills.

Autism is a social-communication disorder, therefore many of our students struggle with communicating and following social cues. Volunteers can join classrooms to play games, participate in social skills groups, or practice speech routines to ensure students will be successful when meeting and interacting with new people in the community.

School events such as Field Day, Summer BBQ, Halloween, and Thanksgiving are the most fun days at Crossroads School and we could use your help making them extra special!

Boys are 4 times more likely than girls to be diagnosed with autism. As the result, we have fewer female students and they are often the lone girl in their classrooms. Therefore, Girls Group meets weekly to create a space for our girls and to work on a variety of skills. Volunteers can lead an activity, whether it be a craft, exercise, game, or more. Our staff will work with you to plan the perfect activity for your team’s involvment.

Call local organizations to spread the word about our programs. We’ll provide the call lists and scripts and give you a brief training so you can feel comfortable calling local organizations and promoting our programs. If you’re interested, email development@crossroadscontinuum.org.
Sign-up to be one of our Crossroads Continuum Ambassador! Ambassadors will receive training on how to represent the organization, what our programs are, and how people can learn more about our services. You’ll also get a Crossroads Continuum shirt so you can represent us at tabling events and conferences. We will reach out to our Ambassadors as opportunities come up and we need volunteers to represent us! Email development@crossroadscontinuum.org to become an Ambassador.
Crossroads Continuum Commons Human Rights Committee
The Human Rights Committee is charged with protecting and affirming the rights of individuals, including the review and approval of behavior support plans, review of restraint reports, restrictive procedures, and investigations. They also provide advice to the program director regarding the agency’s policies and procedures. Meetings will be held quarterly and training will be provided.
We need someone for each of the following categories; we are also able to have volunteers outside of these categories.
a physician or nurse;
a psychologist or masters level practitioner with expertise in intellectual disability and developmental disabilities, mental illness, or applied behavioral analysis; and
an attorney, law student, or paralegal with relevant expertise.

Corporate Volunteer Opportunities

Crossroads School students begin vocational training at age 15 to help prepare them for future employment in five different job categories. Students have the opportunity to train on over 250 prevocational job skills which progress from easy to more difficult tasks. A vocational assessment is conducted for each student which identifies strengths, weaknesses, interests, and work pace. This assessment, along with input from the student, family, and school staff helps guide the selection of prevocational tasks and job sites, and apply those skills to internal jobs on-campus prior to working at community job sites. If you're interested in becoming a Vocational Partner, our Director of Vocational Services will meet with you to align your needs with the right student(s). Students visit job sites for 1-2 hour shifts and are accompanied by one of our highly-skilled staff members.
